Easily the best car buying experience my wife and I have ever had. We dealt with Pete and Jim and then Moe in the finance dept. All of them are top notch professionals. We walked away with an amazing car at a very fair price. Don't hesitate to go check them out, we will be back again for more vehicles in the future! Thank you gentlemen, for making it so easy. Purchased a Rivian from this place and we couldn’t be happier. Bob Wood was so great to work with as was Jim. We were given a very fair amount for our trade in, these guys were straight forward and honest. Very happy and relaxed atmosphere that the Roush family has created, they are spoken very highly about by their employees. Highly recommend to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle.

Response from owner

Jason, thank you for the great review! We will be sure to pass this along to Bob as well. We really appreciate you.

My wife and I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2017 Mazda CX-9 from them. We spent most of the time going over paperwork (showing that it was like new) with Brad our salesman and not enough time going over the car. Upon getting home we found that the car had a broken headlight assembly, cracked bumper that wouldn't stay in and front right fender bent in slightly. After many trips back and forth they ran the headlight through Mazda warranty claiming moisture build up in the lens (there was none). Finally after a couple of more visits and complaining to Mazda Customer Experience online the bumper was replaced. Since they refused to do anything about the fender being bent in the new bumper continued to pop out. More complaints to Tom Roush and Mazda Customer Experience we took the vehicle back down and they replaced the bumper clips. Tom Roush test drove it and the bumper popped back out. At this point Tom Roush Mazda or whoever they were subbing the work out to run a self-tapping sheet metal screw through the inner fender and into the bumper to hold it in place. The bumper is sucked in, you can see the silver screw between the fender and bumper. The car at this point can no longer be Certified Pre-Owned. They actually approved a fix that lowered our cars value. I spoke with Matt and Scott from service and they agreed it was a screw so they directed me to speak with Jim Lanie the used car manager. Jim said we wanted it fixed and they fixed it but he did not believe that it was a screw. This went on for 20 to 30 minutes, us showing Jim the screw and Jim saying no I don't believe that is a screw. We then stated we didn't want this car and his only options to us was to step down in model or buy a brand new vehicle. Had we wanted a lower model or brand new car that is what we would have bought. So when buying a certified pre-owned car and they want to go over the paperwork at their desk, do it at the car. Raise the hood and have them point out the items on the 160 point inspection that was supposedly done. Had we done this we would have walked away from the car and none of this nightmare would have even happened. That being said we honestly feel that Matt and Scott from service would have had the car fixed correctly if allowed. It is our opinion that the dealership decided that they were done and Jim Lanie was the guy picked to get that point across, unless anyone honestly believes that he couldn't tell if it was a screw or not. Take your car to Tom Roush for service Buy your car somewhere else.

Couldn’t be happy with our sales person, Roger and sales a manager, I believe his name was Jim. The sales manger made sure we had whatever was available to us as far as incentives for the month of June before we were ready to sign the deal. Something we were not aware of at the time. He made sure we were and that saved us additional dollars. Would definitely encourage anyone looking for a car to look at Tom Roush dealership before buying a new car.

As usual, the service at Tom roush Mazda was excellent! Yvonne and Scott kept me up-to-date on the progress of my vehicle. When it ran a little long, they made sure to let me know that they could provide a loaner car if I needed to go to an appointment since it was unexpectedly taking a little longer. Of course Jim Skinner, the sales manager, checked on me as well to make sure I was completely comfortable in the waiting area and asked how our 3(!) Mazdas were doing! If you've not purchased a car here, you should definitely give them a try!! They treat you like family!

My salesman (Brandon Wiitala) was helpful, courteous, and always had a smile. Brandon and the sales manager Jim were unbelievably warm and welcoming throughout my tirade of questions. This was my first car purchase from a dealership, and I loved every minute of it except the time spent back in the finance office. The finance employee was a bit rude and stand-offish throughout my questions regarding the documentation I was signing. The finance employee acted visibly frustrated that I wanted to take the time to read the legal contracts the employee had asked me to sign. The finance employee’s attitude was less than pleasant from then on. If it hadn't been for the incredible level of customer service from the rest of the staff and the great inventory at Tom Roush in Westfield, I would have left without buying. Granted, I did ask way more questions than most would throughout the process. It was my first car loan. I was nervous. It does not excuse the attitude with which those finance questions were approached. At one point, the finance employee actually said "That’s not important. It has never come up before, you'll be fine." I was asking a question about how a legal dispute would be handled. If it wasn’t important, it wouldn’t be in the contract. Overall, a phenomenal experience with the rest of the staff. I highly recommend Tom Roush Mazda in Westfield. Their sales staff and sales manager are personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was a no pressure environment with a focus on relationship building and trust. It was great. I'll buy my next Mazda here.

Andre Kennedy is an excellent salesperson, knows his product and has an exceptional customer service attitude. He made the experience easy, which I rarely expect when buying a car. The sales manager Jim was also nice, reasonable and professional. I would buy from Tom Roush again based upon this experience. I cannot say enough about my new Mazda CX-5. Go test drive one!

I had a wonderful car buying experience. The car speaks for itself and the salesman Jim Barbour told me that and left me alone. I came back to request him because my car was that good and stood out against the competition. Before I continue, I want to say that I love my Mazda. I have a 2015 mazda 3 and it has been a pleasure to drive. I finally had to pay the piper for the 60k maintenance(btw the extended warranty is a money grab because the car was built that well). It was $750. Parts were 370ish total and the labor around 410. It was $95 labor per job. The quote was accurate. While I trust the tech and appreciate the experience, I feel it was a bit pricey. I am out of warranty and will not be returning to get service from the dealer, but they were professional and seemed to care about the brand, quality of service, and were knowledgeable about the car. I would recommend mazda cars and as of this moment plan of buying another one in the years to come.

Marko Gruber & Jim Skinner were very helpful during my purchase process of my new 2017 Mazda CX-5. They weren't "pushy" and I didn't receive numerous annoying phone calls, emails, and/or or texts from them. Before we reached an agreement on a price for my vehicle, they seemed to be very honest and up front with my wife and I. I'm not the type of person that likes the process of going back and forth on pricing for a new vehicle, but Jim and Marko made the process easy and respected my opinions in regards to any bids I'd make for the car. Everyone knows a salesman likes to make a buck, but not every salesman makes the "Customer's Buck" their #1 priority. Tom Roush did that for me.

Jim Barbour went above and beyond our expectations. I was very impressed with his customer service as well as that of the entire Tom Roush team. The vehicle we purchased was also a great value and in terrific condition. Not a complaint from anyone in the family. Highly recommended!!! :)

We had the benefit of being able to compare some other brand used cars that were also on the lot. They were ones that we had also considered purchasing, but when we checked them out this time, it became apparent that they really weren't going to fulfill what we needed. Fortunately there were several models of the CX-5 vehicles available. Our salesman, Jim Barbour, was able to suggest one that he thought would be a good choice. We were able to test drive it and also take our grandson along to see if there was enough room for him too. This had become one of the issues that was driving our desire to change vehicles. This model had most of the features we were looking for and was priced at an affordable level.

Bought my Mazda 6 2012 from them in Apr 2012. Was happy with Jim who gave me a good quote. Had a couple of minor issues with the car under warranty and they were serviced without issues. once i was out of warranty, the service department started pushing for maintenance work at 35K which when i researched were not due until 60K and it cost me $900. Had an issue with my tail light blowing up repeatedly and was charged $300 to diagnose and "fix" the issues and was given a 12 month/12,000 mile guarantee for the work. Guess what, have the same issue within a week and a $200 charge for diagnosing the issue again and another $200 to fix. When asked why I was charged again, i was told that the issue was not found the first time and only the symptom was fixed and so i have to pay again to fix the root cause. So why give guarantee and charge me in the first place? Strongly suggest that if you buy a car here because you get a good price, then look somewhere else for any service issue if you are out of warranty as they do not seem to be experts in fixing issues but coming up with fancy words to charge you for repeatedly. Good luck.

My wife and I love the CX-9 we purchased. More importantly, the experience with Jim Hedges and everyone at Tom Roush was the best part. Great people to work with. I would recommend anyone to work with Tom Roush!

This is the 4th car we have bought from Tom Roush and we have been extremely happy with all of our purchases! They sales people, especially Jim Barber, are knowledgeable, not pushy, and gave us a great buying experience. Also, their service department is also honest. My son's older car needed to be fixed and the price they quoted was right on to what a friend of mine's quote was (he was also a mechanic). Highly recommend this dealership!

The car buying experience at Tom Roush was great. Everyone works as a team and makes the experience smooth. Right from the time I got the online quote from Jim Barbour to the end with the options on 'Extended Service Warranty' & 'Financing', the treatment was great. Chris Bettis greeted us at the dealership and he got us the car that we wanted to test drive - he was very friendly and he never tried to convince us to buy any other car. We wanted the Mazda6 itouring manual car and that is what we got. Throughout the test drive, Chris helped us understand the options and made us comfortable by engaging in a conversation - there was never an awkward silence. He was treating us the way he would want anyone to treat him during a car purchase. Once the test drive was over, Chris gave us the quote which was fair and it closely matched the online quote we had received earlier - the only difference was that we got a red-colored car which always costs a couple hundred dollars more than the other colors. I felt bad when I tried to negotiate on the minimal documentation cost because the overall price quoted was very close to the KBB & truecar value. Once the price was finalized Chris & Mr. Roush helped me with the financing options and gave me all the options available on 'Ext Warranty', ' Gap Coverage', 'Theft Protection' and others - they patiently walked us through each and every option and gave us a few minutes to discuss and decide on the options we wanted. Chris & Mr. Roush never hurried us throughout the process. We got a very good deal and we are very happy with the buying experience at Tom Roush. I would definitely recommend Tom Roush to anyone buying a new car - I think they should expand the dealership and add other brands to their lot. Thanks to Chris & Jim I never had to go through the dreadful negotiation process.
